Currently we look after children from 2 years old until they leave for school after their fourth birthday. We have one large playroom which has different identifiable learning areas incorporated throughout. The children have access to a large outside area where they can continue their learning and being within the sports centre we often use their sports hall for games and physical education. The children are able to play and explore together across the differing age brackets, but do have group time with their peers in age appropriate groups throughout the day. Mr Keith our Early Years Leader and qualified teachers also supports the children at the setting. He has experience in working in year R and is really able to support the children to bridge the gap between nursery and starting mainstream school.
At Applemore Early Years Centre we offer your child breakfast when they join us for our early bird session, lunch at 12pm, hight tea at 4pm and snacks in between. The snacks are prepared by our staff team who all have training in food hygiene to level 2.
Recently we have introduced a nursery caterer, Hungry Monsters. Lunch is provided by them as they are able to cater for all religious beliefs, allergies and intolerances.
Hungry Monsters prepare a healthy range of nutritious and varied lunches for the children, we are given a weekly menu which we share with our parents. If your child needs a specialised diet for any reason, we can cater for them, it is not a problem at all.
As a setting we are registered with the local council and are proud to say we have a food hygiene rating of 5 starts (the highest rating available)

We understand that one of the biggest challenges for parents when raising children can be the financial adjustment that has to be made due to the cost of childcare. We do not believe in in charging different rates across the various ages therefore all our fees are fixed. All of our invoices are calculated on actual sessions that our children attend and we do not charge for closure days. We also offer a 10% discount to siblings who attend the same setting.
