About

We have worked tirelessly to create teams within our current settings that share the same values and ethos as us. Our vision is focused around achieving excellence together, which encapsulates our vision of high expectation and ambition for all.

Together we strive to bridge the gap of being within a home environment and starting mainstream school, a real extension of their home learning environment that will really support and drive their learning forward. Providing children with a strong foundation will equip them with the necessary skills for their future learning journey.

Through play we aim to:

  • Inspire the children in our care.
  • Spark their curiosity about the world around them.
  • Ignite their love of learning and support them to feel confident, secure and happy.

Hamble Early Years Centre was set up by us in 2017. After managing settings in the New Forest and working in the sector for a number of years, we took the brave decision to open our very own setting. We simply had a dream to offer the very highest quality early years education and thankfully the team at The Hamble School, on that very first panel interview we were subject too, believed in us. At this point we were not Ofsted registered and were up against some very large well-known chains, but thankfully our passion shone through. During the first two years we both managed and ran the setting hands on, between us, building it up from an old youth club building, with no children on roll, no staff to help us, not even any resources, to what is now a very successful and bustling nursery with an amazing team.

In 2019 we had the opportunity to bid for a failing pre-school in the New Forest and after successfully winning the tender for the site, Applemore Early Years Centre was created. Again, we have worked hard to transform it from a failing setting with only 11 children on roll, to one now serving over 100 families. We have grown from having 8-10 children per day to over 30. Again, to ensure that all aspects of the setting met high standards we worked and managed the setting for the first year. It certainly wasn't an easy ride and we faced lots of challenges along the way, but we are so very proud to now have a strong team lead by our manager Ellie at Applemore. The setting has built up such a great reputation that it is still growing, so much so that we are exploring our options in terms of further space to meet the level of demand. It has been a real team effort to get to this stage and the best thing is how relationships between senior leaders such as the managers, area manager and early years lead

In April 2021 after a successful tender process we opened Newlands Early Years Centre. Previous to our takeover the setting had been operating for nearly 40 years in the Yateley area. They have a well-established long-standing staff team who are dedicated to offering the high quality childcare we like to offer. The setting was previously committee run, to ensure the longevity and future security of the setting the committee explored their options and tendered out the setting to suitable candidates. The team at Newlands are wonderful and all share our vision and aim to offer the highest quality early years education possible. The team are lead by our manager Anne and Deputy Michelle.

We are very excited to be able to share with you that we will be opening our 4th setting in the Spring term 2022, in Kings Worthy Winchester. The setting will cater for children from 2 to 5 years old and offer early years education for children in the area. Look out for more exciting news about this setting very soon.
